I thought that buying my first house would be a piece of cake. I figured I would look at some places and then I would see one that I liked and make an offer. I knew it would take a lot of time and effort, but I had no idea what I was in for. I had no idea that so much would go into it, and that I was so clueless. There were structural, electrical and plumbing issues to think of. Mortgages can get complex too. I also knew nothing about
local home security and keeping myself safe. I ended up asking some of my friends and family for help in explaining everything and making suggestions. It took me a while, but by the time I found a house that I liked enough to buy I felt confident in my choice. I am glad that I had friends and family to help because I never would have been able to make all of these decisions on my own. Next time I make a real estate transaction I feel like I will be a seasoned pro.
